Description

The natural jadeite in this pendant has a flat, polished surface that does not feature any carving. This rectangular jadeite is termed as a 无事牌 because of its smooth and uncarved surface. The Chinese words translate loosely to an item that symbolises safety. As such, this jadeite 无事牌 carving is typically worn to keep one safe and sound.

This jadeite 无事牌 is carved from colourless jadeite that is very clear with fine crystal aggregates. The combination of qualities results in a glassy appearance of the jadeite. White cotton-like specks in the jadeite carving create an abstract image of falling snow, suspended within the frosty jadeite. Its rectangular shape resembles a doorway through which this abstract backdrop of drifting snow can be seen.

This jadeite pendant is set in 18K white gold with a mix of natural sapphires, diamonds and jadeite carvings. The pendant bail is designed as a bird, brightly encrusted in the natural gemstones. The bird sits upon a sparkly branch crafted with 2 bright green leaves made of natural green jadeite.
